Excellent cuisine

Authentic italian food! Service is also great.

We were weekly customers before the change of ownership. Salmon tartare was our favorite dish; it was delicious and the very generous portion was accompanied by fries and a well-stocked salad. We tried again this afternoon and it's total disappointment. The meager portion is $ 4 more expensive, no longer contains fries and the salad is a simple green salad. Unfortunately, I can not recommend this restaurant which we have visited regularly for more than 5 years.

I have been told they just changed owner 2 months ago. Loved the place. Great pasta, great wine, friendly service.

The dinner was perfect, from the atmosphere to the elegant service! We had a nice bottle of wine while eating the calamari fritti with the clam linguine and the vitello costata if porcini !! A true delight, this new owner has just made a regular customer

Delicious hearty Italian food. Friendly staff with a lot of humour (you need to take them with a grain of salt or you might think they're rude). A little pricy but the overall existence makes this family run restaurant experience worth it.

We were a small group of 8, reservation made for a Thursday lunch to finally leave the restaurant at 14:30 without our plates!More than an hour after the order, the appetizers finally arrived, but not ours since there were more, the main courses had not even been announced in the kitchen.Nobody took the time to warn us that our entrance was no longer available; we learned about it when the waiter asked if other entries had been ordered ... so we left on an empty stomach and angry.Very disappointing. For my part, I would not go back.

Excellent Italian cuisine!It's perfect before going to see a play at the Centaur Theater, if you want a good meal in love, good wine and a courteous and impeccable service!We had the calamari starter, the catch of the day was black cod and there were excellent veal scallops in Lombardy, it was really delicious.And in the end the tiramisu was perfect!

We were a small group of 8, the staff seemed disorganized, the server came to see us 3 times to take the order and an hour before having the entries.In addition, some people took an entry that was no longer available and no member of staff communicated it to our table.Very disappointing, the dishes definitely lack seasonings ....No excuse is allowed, especially since the restaurant is located in the heart of Old Montreal with several target customers!

Been there three times on business lunches and my order was never correct, with lame excuses blaming someone else from the staff.Overpriced, especially if you're getting a plate of pasta.Food itself is okay and in big portions but lacks authenticity, and service tries to be friendly but is either too much so or rude. Once it's time to pay, their attitude gets worse.I will definitely not be going back willfully.

Very nice reception attentive and polite waiters.By cons there was confusion arrived at the checkout with the menu (I thought it was a host table so I pay 2X more than I thought for a dinner) but in any case I highly recommend it very nice and the latte is very good.

I used to come to lunch a this place a few years ago, visiting Montreal with pleasure I found it still open. My favorite dish the oso buco, keep in mind that at lunchtime it is a very busy place.

Typical and friendly Italian restaurant. No pizza but good choice of pasta, meats and an excellent salmon tartare.The place is only open for lunch.

Best place to have lunch, especially take out. The cook and owner are very friedly, always smiling and chatty. They will also let you switch around the plates however you want so you can try that new pasta or get more vegetables instead of rice. The food itself is delicious also. I definitely suggest grabbing lunch there if you are in the area.

I went to eat that afternoon. I would like fried squid please. Sorry, we have more. Well, these are things that happen. So I order a mozzarella di buffala starter to share. After 1:30 of waiting (I have never heard so long) the server brings the inputs (2 in total) other people of the table except mine. He asks if everyone has his entrances and I answer no, I had mozzarella. He answers me sorry ah there is more left. I told him to cancel my order and when he left he told me that I can come back and he will give me a free meal. The service was super long and not super attentive, except one waiter who was really good. Unfortunately, I'm not going to even go for a free meal (I do not know how he could know it's me, even if I go back, he just promised me that verbally). To avoid.

The gnocchi was fabulous! The red wine recommended matched the culinary goal!!! I highly recommend this outstanding trattoria. Please look at this- the are not closing, just changing hands to the maitre d'

This is our first visit to Montreal. We wanted Italian for dinner, found this location near the hotel, walking distance. This was an excellent choice. The waiter was very attentive and professional, while remaining friendly and courteous. The food was excellent. I had the Atlantic salmon, it was prepared to perfection. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Good service, fast, very good!

This place is a staple of old Montreal and has been a favourite of my colleagues and myself for 8 years. Amazing staff, great owners and authentic food. The restaurant will unfortunately be closing down at the end of next week due to rent hikes by the building's owner - take advantage while you still can.

Food service ambiance

Reasonably priced, excellent food. Exceptionally friendly staff. Very solid Italian food. Had the calamari, Caesar salad, and tomatoes with mozzarella. Might be the best Caesar dressing I have ever had. Nice tender calamari.
